We always start with you. Our first step is a consultation appointment with you in your home. We take measurements, look over some samples, and talk about exactly what you are looking to get out of your project. With all that information we build you a quote. If an in-home appointment isn’t your thing, you can visit us in our showroom. There are plenty of samples to see and feel including cabinets, hardware, and countertops.
Our second step comes once you’ve made the exciting decision to upgrade your space! Together we finalize all the details and put in you in our schedule. We usually book about 4-8 weeks in advance, and depending on the size of your project install can take anywhere from 2 days to 3-4 weeks. In the mean time (between booking and install) you will be able to stay in contact with us using a simple project management app. Here we can chat about any changes, upload photos, or just say hi!
We source our materials through local Ontario and Canadian based companies. We love the environment so we regularly Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. We like to donate old kitchen materials to local resell/repurposing stores. We use water-based paints and primers. Conventional paints and primers contain high VOCs (volatile organic compounds) which are released into the air during the curing process. They also have an unpleasant chemical smell.
Our water-based products contain very low VOCs, which means healthier indoor air quality for you and your family. Landfills are happier because we are not disposing of any oily rags or toxic cans. We standardly use products that can be sent to sawdust mills and recycled to make new wood products. This means all our cabinets and offcuts can be recycled and do not have to end up in a landfill.
Materials we bring into your kitchen are Green Guard certified.

After completing Construction Engineering at Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston and George Brown College in Toronto, Nick started working as a project manager in commercial construction over 10 years ago. Working at a large commercial construction company in Toronto he successfully managed multi million dollar projects on time and on budget.
Cabneato came into the picture when we moved north of the city, and decided to make custom cabinetry a family affair. Monica brings a passion for design to help clients fall back in love with their spaces whether it’s their kitchen, closets, bathrooms, or any space in-between. Working directly with homeowners to build the life back into their homes is exactly what we are meant to do.
